I found this video on youtube by just typing in ‘technology, kids and school’. I’m wondering how much more technology is going to become involved in the future?

Will it eventually replace teachers? Especially if the curriculum can now be put into one little flash drive…

  • Makes learning personal and social
  • Supports learning
  • Allows students (bloggers) to get to know each other
  • Can create an online community
  • Allows collaborative activities
  • AND many more mentioned in the article..

So blogs are a great tool – not just for students, but for us post-secondary students too!

I think it is underestimated how much media is becoming a part of student’s future. By utilising, manipulating and exposing students to the wide variety of opportunities that can be explored in the use and creation of podcasts, we can educate them further into this future. There are many ways that podcasts can be used – to inform, instruct, argue and explain. Students can make there own to express their own opinions, ideas and learning.

A great idea all round. How would it work in practice?
