Practical Experience (Year 3)

Most likely the most influential and challenging practicum I have had so far was my last – Year 3 at Blaxcell St Public School in Granville.

I learnt so much about behaviour management, but I was also exposed to learning difficulties in a way I hadn’t seen before.

The  real challenge for me became how to bring students who weren’t motivated, interested, or able to realise the importance of their education up to speed with where they needed to be.

A good challenge.

How do you make 9 year olds realise that it’s extremely important that they know how to count to 100 and that really, it’s not that cool to think counting is stupid?
